Looking for cute but sustainable yoga clothes? I got you covered. Here are my favorite eco yoga clothing brands with the cutest active wear.

Eco Yoga Clothing Brands

In the world of fast fashion choosing eco-friendly and sustainable clothing are not found as easy as you may think (or hope). Our world is dominated by cheap “in season” styles that heavily influence our social feeds, personalized ads and friends and family. It’s not our fault either. The fast fashion industry has fantastic marketing skills and in the world of social media we are constantly comparing ourselves to others. Wanting the next best thing instead of enjoying and appreciating what we have perpetuated the problem.

But, you are here because clearly you’ve seen past all of that BS. Because you care about the planet, feel good about supporting companies making a positive impact, or you want to reduce your carbon footprint. In that case, welcome!

These sustainable yoga clothing brands truly care about their environmental impact as they strive to solely use natural fabrics and eco-friendly materials. They are also passionate about being better from one year to the next and providing fair wages to their employees.

Berlook

Berlook, (yes the swimwear brand) has an active wear line. This brand offers 100% recycled and natural materials like ECONYL which is a regenerative nylon fiber “derived from both pre and post-consumer waste, such as discarded fishing nets, industrial plastic waste, and fabric scraps”. They also use organic cotton, vegan silk, and linen in their clothing.

While all of Berlook’s swimwear is exclusively made from recycled materials, not all of their activewear is. That being said, look for the tag “eco-friendly” on the item. I didn’t want to exclude this brand because they are cleanly striving to make 100% of their products from natural or recyclable fabrics by 2025, so definitely keep them in mind.

PrAna

PrAna is another personal favorite of mine. They have a variety of performance fabrics made from recycled materials and specifically designed for yoga. Their Sculpt™ sets are quick-drying and compressive for optimal support. The Heavana™ Collection is super soft and designed for low-impact activities. And lastly their Luxara™ sets are ultra-lightweight, quick-drying and perfect for when you want to break a serious sweat.

Adjustable Bra

From the Sculpt™ collection this Adjustable Bra is perfect for all the high intensity workouts like hot yoga. Get these sports bras in sizes XXS to XXL and in 5 different colors.

Send Off Leggings

From the same collection The Send Off Leggings are made from fair trade and recycled sustainable materials. They are also perfectly high rise for a comfortable fit.

Hot Spell Leggings

I also can’t mention PrAna without mentioning their Hot Spell sustainable yoga leggings. From their Heavana™ Collection these are a best seller and for good reason. They are perfect for a restorative yoga class with their stay-put waistband.

Handwoven Yoga Mat

While you are treating yourself to some new yoga apparel, also treat yourself to one of these beautiful yoga mats from Ma Woven. I have the exact one and it’s perfect for everyday use. Not only is it naturally antimicrobial but it’s handwoven in Northern India.

Patagonia

Patagonia is another great place to get eco yoga clothing. By far the biggest, most well known company on the list, Patagonia has been outspoken about their efforts to create quality clothing that lasts. They also use majority renewable and recycled materials as well as fair trade practices. Lastly, the pledge by fall of 2024, 99% of their products will contain no PFAS/PFC’s.

Maipo Low-Impact Adjustable Bra

The Low-Impact Adjustable Bra is made from postconsumer recycled nylon which actually comes from fishing nets that were cleaned out of the ocean. Its form-fitting, quick drying, and comfortable. I love this piece for everyday wear.

Reversible Tank

This is a tank for all body shapes and sizes. It’s the Reversible Tank Top and it’s made from recycled polyester with HeiQ® Pure odor control.

Pro Shorts

I’m also obsessed with these Strider Pro Short’s which are made from plastic bottles and certified by OceanCycle, a company striving to prevent plastic pollution. They are a soft material making them the perfect yoga shorts.

Another sustainable yoga mat is from Yoloha Yoga. This is PVC free and made from 70% renewable materials. Get connected with earth with natural materials like cork. The plant-based foam provides cushion and is easy to clean and durable.

Happy Earth

If you aren't interested in recycling materials (or synthetic fabrics) for your eco yoga clothing, Happy Earth is the way to go. This brand only uses sustainable fabrics specifically, organic cotton, that contains no chemical pesticides or fertilizers. Their processes are all natural protecting eco-systems and waterways to stay as connected to the environment as possible.

Happy Earth is dedicated to offsetting all carbon emissions and use clean energy (like solar panels) and low energy shipping methods to keep emissions down. Their sustainability efforts carry over into their supply chain and Fair Trade factories.

Here are their organic cotton yoga pants that are sweat-wicking and are know for their 4-way stretch. Their organic clothing also uses low-impact dyes that are certified non-toxic.

Another piece in their variety of organic yoga clothing is this Contour Jacket. It has a flattering fit and is buttery soft.

Their organic cotton yoga tops comes in a few styles and colors. I personally like the reversible tank that doubles as a sports bra but with more coverage.

Next time you are in the market for yoga clothing, I hope you choose a brand that is making sustainable yoga clothing. Try to avoid virgin synthetic materials and choose recycled or natural organic materials. I hope you enjoy these yoga brands as much as I do!
